The South West Coast Path and Tarka Trail passes through Lynmouth, while the Two Moors Way, Samaritans Way South West and the Coleridge Way all finish here. Orchard House Hotel is a great base to explore these walks and then relax in our hot tub jacuzzi after an invigorating walk.

River fishing and sea angling can be enjoyed on your visit. Wimbleball Fly Fishery offers the chance to fish for Rainbow and wild Brown Trout while chartered sea fishing can be arranged at Bluefin Charter Fishing Trips in Ilfracombe.

Situated in Westward Ho! the Royal North Devon Golf Course is over 150 years old and has the oldest links in the country and is listed as one of Golf World’s Top 100 Courses in the World. Other notable golf clubs in the area are Ilfracombe, Mortehoe, Woolacombe and Saunton Golf Club, which was established in 1897
Cliff Railway
Cliff Railway
Lynton and Lynmouth funicular Cliff Railway opened in 1890 and is the highest and the steepest totally water powered railway in the world. It is open during daytime from February to November. Visit website for precise information.
Cinema
Cinema
Lynton Cinema opened in 2001 with seating for 68 people. It is a modern cinema with comfortable seats with plenty of leg room, Dolby SR sound, full air conditioning in the summer months and full central heating in the winter. It runs films as near to release as possible with special presentations throughout the year. Full disabled access and toilet is provided.
Lynton has a population of about 2,000 people and so is probably the smallest town in the country to have a full time cinema.

The Toy Museum exhibits a great display of toys and games from the 1960s to 1980s. It has one of the largest action figure collections on display in the UK and has collectibles and second hand toys for sale.
